KHOREGATE THE WORLD!
Being a discussion upon the nature of magic and of undeath.
between
Taskar of Markham, Holy Warrior of Khoreg and Zi the priest.
Z: The Lord Khoreg has never been a God of magic and though he has profited
from the help of Hecate, the dark goddess of magic, it is not a part of his
nature and should thus be despised by his true followers.
T: What power is it then that animates the zombie?
Z: The will of Khoreg.
T: But was it not magic that enabled him to slay the demons and to perform the
torment of Heiroth.
Z: The Lord Khoreg is a God and is not limited by the laws that bind mortals.
T: You are a priest of Khoreg and have spoken with him of this?
Z: I am and I have.
T: What did he reply, remembering that I am a Holy Warrior and can discern lies?
Z: He said, “If it is a weapon, use it as such, if it heals accept it gladly:
do not bother your head with stupid definitions.”
T: In the matter of the undead many of our troops are zombies, yet many of our
allies see this as evil.
Z: The bodies are just so much dead flesh, it does their spirits no harm and
what others think is their problem, as the Lord Khoreg said, “Death is no excuse.”
T: And the vampires that also are in our army?
Z: Their spirits are strong enough to defy death, they are terrible in battle,
what more could a Khoregate aspire to?
T; To be a Holy Warrior.
Z: That is a matter of opinion.
T: If demons come in many forms how shall we know them?
Z: They will be marked and they will not be Khoregate. My pupil Alitta has some
very interesting ideas on this.
T: Is Khoreg omniscient?
Z: No, just well informed and very cunning.
