Welcome
to my web page. This site is dedicated to what is my main, and most
time consuming, hobby, that of Wargaming with miniature figures; to date mostly
played under the WRG DBx family of rules (De Bellis Antiquitatus, De
Bellis Multitudinis, De Bellis Renationis) - however, see NEWS below. Please follow the links
above to the various sections of the site. Any comments, suggestions,
etc.. on anything on the site, or related, would be most welcome. Mail
me
and I'll try and reply as soon
as possible.

Changes are on their way to this site - more precisely Field of Glory content will start to appear here over the next few weeks.
After over 10 years of playing DBM as my preferred rule set it is time to make a change. FoG has taken my fancy so expect to see army lists, battle reports, etc. for FoG from now on. However, the DBM content will also remain

The idea for the site came out of a discussion on the DBM mailing list (see Mailing Lists) as to how players related to their wargames armies, and whether a set of rules such as DBM, which does not emphasize units in the traditional way, meant that armies had less identity than before. This motivated me to write up a number of battle reports based on some of my games, but in a narrative rather than rules style. By doing this I hope to create a "history" for each of my armies, thus giving each more character and enabling me to more closely relate to them. It was also a new challenge, as I had never attempted anything that approached creative prose before. However, time being limited many of the reports will be more or less DBM style.
As these things do, this first idea then grew into a more ambitious project to bring together a number of related web based resources by providing links to sites I have found interesting and/or useful. I am currently looking to add some pictures of my figures and add a section covering my other time consuming hobby, live action role playing - OK the last is now just about under way and contains some stuff including pictures, so enjoy.
